A group of ordinary individuals coming from various walks of life, with deep love for the country and strong belief in God, banded together to achieve just that. INFLUENCING COMMUNITIES

For the month of June 2010, we have reached out to 20 families in our community in Bgy. Nayong Kanluran, West Avenue, Q.C. We started out by offering our Sabado Ibang Klase educational program to 40 select kids last June 19, 2010. These Saturday classes will continue until the end of School Year 2010-2011. Furthermore, we have invited the kids’ parents for FREE Special Membership with Uplift which entitles them to special privileges like free weekday tutorials for kids, discounts in medical consultancy and more! Later on, we wish to provide the parents livelihood options to enable them provide for the financial needs of their families. Weekly, we give them inspirational talks through our Booster gatherings held every Thursday night.

Our quest to positively impact Filipino communities goes on. By duplicating our nation-building template onto other communities nationwide, we dream of making a difference for the country.

HAPPY 4TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

Uplift is FOUR years old! Hurrah! To celebrate this special event with our recipient community in Bgy. Nayong Kanluran, we held a FREE filmshowing of “A Journey Home” starring Toni Gonzaga, Joem Bascon and is directed by Paul Soriano. This is a heart-warming, family-oriented and Christ-centered movie that caters to people 9 to 90 years old. After the movie, the Sabado Ibang Klase kids performed a dance number while Ms. Gloria Ng serenaded us with her angelic voice. Mr. Bong Saquing and Mr. Joey Magat capped the night with inspirational words and renewed the Uplift dream in our hearts. The event was held last June 19, 2010 at the Barangay Hall of Bgy. Nayong Kanluran, West Avenue, QC. That night, we also launched the Uplift Membership Card and the Sabado Ibang Klase SY 2010-2011 program. Indeed, it was an evening full of joy for all and we’re glad that everyone had a great time.
